Travel & Emergency Fund

This fund, provided by AWCH, helps families in immediate crisis or those who cannot afford to visit their children in hospital. It is administered by the hospital social workers.

Increasing centralisation of children’s services means that they have further to travel for treatment, sometimes into centres in England, and consequently their families have further to travel to visit.

In conjunction with Contact a Family Wales, AWCH is campaigning to help these families.
